Brenda Thurmond is a proud native of North Georgia whose life reflects love, faith, and a joyful spirit that inspires everyone she meets. A devoted member of Clarkesville Baptist Church, she spent over 45 years serving in the local school system—though at 82, “retirement” is simply a word.
A lifelong lover of words, Brenda has always had a gift for storytelling, creating children’s stories, Sunday school lessons, and cherished Christmas plays for her church. She shared 62 years of marriage with her husband, Ken, and is the proud mother of her daughter, Karen Shayne.
Today, Brenda remains deeply connected to her community while also embracing monthly game nights and caring for her 99-year-old sister. She now shares her stories and reflections as a contributor to Unconditionally Her, while preparing to release her Christmas Series Trilogy. Learn more about Brenda.
